Anne Lovejoy Poet and Teacher

Anne spent her career in education shaping how stories are taught, spoken and brought to life. Her work in education spans decades - Head of English, Head of Drama, Assistant Headteacher in a large Hertfordshire  Comprehensive School in Hertfordshire, followed by  leadership in a Pupil Referral Unit and advisory work as Secondary English Consultant in Bedfordshire. 

Now retired from formal education, she is a member of The Quantock Poets and published her first poetry book in 2024 - ‘Opening the Memory Box - Poems inspired by walks in the Quantocks, the landscape and memory surrounding us in West Somerset.

She is one of the founder members and chair of Words in Watchet.
