Watchet Boat Museum

Located in Harbour Road, opposite Watchet Station, this building was originally a Victorian Railway Goods shed designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, but was adapted into a Boat Museum housing the worlds largest collection of traditional flatner boats (used locally) in the 1990s.

The original building has since been adapted to provide a home for Watchet Town Council as well as a Visitor Centre for the town and museum.

During Words in Watchet Festival the building is mainly used to provide a hub for children’s events, though it also has been used as the venue for atmospheric evening events.

The building has flat access. Toilets available in the nearby Harbour Road Toilets (including disabled access). Stewards can direct you.
